Blower Door Testing
in Orange County, Florida

If you're building a new home in Orange County, Florida there are some changes to the building code that you will want to be aware of.  As of July 1st, 2017 all newly built residential homes in Florida must have a Blower Door Test to measure the building's air leakage rates. Residential homes in Martin County must have less than seven changes of air per hour. This means that the homes we build will need to have low levels of leakage and be highly efficient.

The U.S. Department of Energy has published a guide to help builders achieve the low levels of air leakage their buildings must obtain. By utilizing the suggestions in The Air Leakage Guide and using it as a resource for understanding air leakage requirements, your buildings will become more energy efficient, safe, and comfortable.
